PINK, PINK......A Baby Shower

Welcome to a very pink
post here at
Pink Glitter!

Thank you so much for
stopping by, Glitterinas!

We had a baby shower at our home.

Presents and books and laughter
all for a precious little girl we are waiting
to meet.

Her name will be
Gracie!

She will be our nephew and his wife,
Aubrey and Jacki's
new baby!

I love a party....

I love a theme.....

The theme for this baby shower
was
PINK!

I filled a tall hurricane glass with
pink ornaments and fairy lights.....

......it looked nice with it's puffy, sparkly bow
standing in the middle of the table.

I used a lovely cutwork runner
with pink roses down the
center of the dining room table.

Before a party or get-together I like to
arrange all the platters, stands, bowls,
and other serving items that will be on the
buffet.

That makes putting things out for the party
quicker and if someone asks to help,
I can take them up on their kind offer!

The stars of the shower buffet on party
day were the
cookies!

They were wonderfully cute....

and they tasted so good!

They are from my fancy cookie lady,
Nancy.
Let me know if you are in my area and would like her number!

I recommend her cookies every chance
I get!

We played games.....

......thank you, Tricia, they were fun!

Jacki opened gifts....

.....I had some excellent help
passing out and wrangling opened gifts
from these two cuties.

Thank you, Hailee and Emery,
you girlies were wonderful help!

Punch and snacks were enjoyed....

......and the tiny baby bottles filled with candy
went home as favors with each guest.

I had so much fun with this shower!

I love a party!

All that pink just made me happy.....

......Mom to be was happy with all the
cute clothes, diapers, books, and the really nice
stroller she received.

Now we just have to wait for
Miss Gracie
to make her big entrance!

I'm so glad you stopped by, Glitterinas!

Thanks for letting me share
our fun, afternoon shower.

Pink, pink, pink,
Tammy

Our Merry Christmas House

Merry Christmas, Glitterinas!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I'm so glad you did.

I'd like to share our
Merry Christmas House with you!

 Let's start in the kitchen....

here's my little feather tree
that's decorated with small silver spoons, forks and other
small silver serving pieces.

I use the ribbon I tie on each piece to hang
it on the branches.

There are also some small
mercury glass ornaments
on this tree.

The little gingerbread men are from my
childhood tree......they were a string of
twinkle lights!

Tucked around in the corners of my kitchen
you'll see Christmas tins, small Christmas gifts
from students.....

......and lots of other Christmas treasures.

The glass front cabinets are all dressed up
with green wreaths.

Here's a favorite Nativity that we enjoy
every year.

This little cutie was a gift from a very talented
lady I had the pleasure of
teaching with!

I'd love it if you were here.....

I'd tell you to make yourself at home
and I would offer you a mug of
hot Raspberry Zinger tea.....

and I would hope you could stay awhile and enjoy our
home.

The fireplace is particularly lovely
at night this year.

Our tree adds some lovely
twinkle to the house this time of year!

From big trees to small ones....

From old Santas .....

to new Santas.....

We all hope you....

I am so blessed to have peace, calm, time, and health to
enjoy this special part of the year
with family and friends!

I strive to remember that....

Please join me in prayers for our military men and women
and
for others who are not able to be with loved ones this Christmas.

Thank you again, Glitterinas, for stopping by to
visit our
Merry Christmas House!

Our Christmas Tree

Hello Glitterinas!

I want to welcome you to our home
to see our Christmas Tree.

It's in the corner where it usually stands.

 The Christmas Train is
choo choo-ing around the
vintage tin tub
in which the tree stands.

There's a vintage pink and blue baby
quilt wrapped around the
stand.....

inside the tub.....

but after the tree gets decorated
the quilt just barely shows.

I know it's there so I smile when I see it
peeking through the lower
branches!

The theme of our tree this year
is
The Nutcracker.

Every year when I get the branches fluffed
and arranged....

.....and the lights come on and twinkle....

....and the train is chugging around and around....

......I think, goodness, I like it just like this!

And every year that lasts about 15 minutes
until I decide I want to go ahead and decorate it!

I started at the top with pink, sparkly
poinsettias, some sparkly ting (very thin, stiff
curly pieces that have been glittered), and
some sparkly pink ribbon.

If you are wondering, yes, I was covered with
pink glitter from decorating the top of
our tree!

It's OK.....I love glitter and I love pink....
I just had a good laugh and soldiered on!

From there, my helpers and I started hanging
all the fun Nutcracker ornaments
on the tree.

Smallest at the top....

all the way down....

to the larger ones near the bottom!

Look closely.....

can you find your favorite
Nutcracker character?

Here's a good look at the lovely ribbon
coming down from the bow at the top.

Lots of graceful ballerinas dancing
among the branches.....

.......dancers from around the world.....

.....and even Herr Drosselmeyer!

This Mouse King is my favorite....
he's sporting a fancy, pink, velvet cape
and a wonderfully shiny sword!

I'm glad Clara's eyes are closed.....that nutcracker
looks a little intense!

Only one of my hard working helpers
would pose as she worked.....

......the other helper, daughter Ashley,
declined....oh well.

I think the tree is twinkly...

....and sparkly

......and happy

.....and pink

....and looks festive!

What do you think, Glitterinas?

We'll enjoy our Nutcracker tree for
the Christmas season of 2018.

When it's time to pack everything away
we'll have some happy memories
and some fun pictures of this
festive and sparkly Christmas tree!

Thank you so much for stopping by
and
letting me share our
Nutcracker Christmas tree with you!

I hope you are enjoying some
chilly temperatures
and
maybe even some snow
during this winter season.

I have some snow in a
cute snow globe....
and in some terrific pictures
that friends have shared of their
precious families!

Safe travels to those of you "going"
for the holidays....

.....and cozy times for those of you "staying"
for the holidays!

Merry Christmas, Glitterinas,
Tammy
