Mushroom and Cheese Stuffed Meat Patties

We're in the kitchen this time,
Glitterinas!

Thank you so much for taking time to
open this post at
Pink Glitter!

Grab a beverage,
get comfortable,
and let me share this
delicious recipe with you.

I start with one pound of lean hamburger meat.

I also use some swiss cheese.....

.....fresh, sliced mushrooms.....rinsed.....

.....some bacon slices....

.....and my favorite spice mixture,
Uncle Chris' Steak Seasoning.

Your favorite spice combo will work nicely here, too.

I divide the meat into four equal parts
and then divide each one of those into two
parts (a top and a bottom).

Take one part and pat it out about
the size of your palm.
(bottom)

Layer on two or three mushroom slices.

Then I stack on two small swiss cheese pieces.
I don't make these slices too thick because I
don't want cheese cooking out.

I want all the yummy goodness to stay
on the inside of these meat patties.

I sprinkle on some spice mix.

I top this pile of deliciousness with another
piece of hamburger.
(top)

Pinch edges together well.

I wrap this stuffed patty with a piece of bacon and
secure the ends with a tooth pick.

That's patty number one.....
I finish patties two, three and four.

Into the skillet they go!

I brown both sides of these patties for
2-3 minutes on each side.

Then I make a broth for them to
finish cooking in....

....start with water....

....a splash of worchestershire sauce....

......another quick splash, this time it's white wine.
This bottle of wine was a gift......thanks again, Holly!

While these patties finish cooking,
I fix some roasted, herbed cabbage to serve
with them.

Cabbage wedges sprinkled with herbs and
panko bread crumbs.

Roast for 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees.

When the meat patties are almost done,
I place four pretty mushroom slices
in the skillet to cook for garnishes.

I chop some fresh shallots for garnish.....

....and some sprigs of fresh rosemary, too.

The food is almost ready.....now you know what
I'm going to do!

Set the table....play with some dishes!

The swans will hold my pink applesauce topped with fruit.

The food is all cooked and ready to serve.

The kitchen smells good!

Let's eat!

Gooey swiss cheese and mushrooms.....

.....yummy dinner!

Thank you so much for letting me
share this recipe with you, Glitterinas!

I hope you'll give these mushroom and cheese
stuffed meat patties a try.

They are family approved!

Until next time,
Tammy

How Do You Store a Big Bow?

I was asked this question around Easter.

I took some pictures as I put my Easter decorations away.

Some bows get taken apart and the ribbons
get re-rolled onto their spools and stored.

However, some bows can be stored as
a puffy bow.

One of these is the bow I have on top of my
Easter tree.

Let me show you....

I begin by rolling up the longest tail...

......roll it right up to the bow loops.

Tuck that rolled tail into the closest loop.

Next, roll up all the other tails and tuck them
into bow loops, also.

I keep rolling up and tucking until all the tails are
tucked away.

Then the entire tree is placed into
a large plastic bag and tied up.

All ready for the storage room.

The ribbon I like to use is wired so when the
Easter tree is ready to be decorated next time,
the bow tails get unrolled and the bow loops get puffed up.

Tah dah!

I hope this helps you if you are wanting to store a
large, puffy bow to use again at another time.

Keep tying those big fancy bows, Glitterinas!

I love a big bow!

Thanks for stopping by and taking time to read
my posts here at

Hugs and big bows,

Easter In The Rearview Mirror

Easter has come and gone....
and April is half over, Glitterinas!

Mother Nature isn't quite sure which
weather pattern to choose.....

Good grief, I need to pause and
take a moment.

Sigh.....

Our family gathered at
our home,
Five Gables Farm,
for an Easter celebration.

We are a big,

loud,

crazy,

wild,

fun,

busy,

hungry,

and lovable bunch!

We visit until everyone arrives.....

......take some group pictures....

Hey Cass and Tricia, where are my pictures of your
crew?!?!

You know this means y'all have to get in the car
and head back here.....I need pictures of your dear faces!

Here's a picture of the boss crew!
Janet, Christy, Tammy and Tricia.....
yes, an actual gathering of the goddesses!

After photo time, we pray and eat!

Hand washing is strongly encouraged.......
good job guys!

Thanks!

Line up and get a plate, napkin and utensils.....

.....and decide which delicious food you want!

There's always plenty of yumminess to choose from!

Multiple trips and plates are pretty much
required!

Peeps are always a big hit....

After lunch and a nice leisurely visit we had some fun
activities for the younger set!

We kicked the fun off with a piƱata....

.....I took a video
(and it is hilarious)
but sadly did not get a picture of
pretty Miss Bunny before she
was a casualty of many whacks!

Her stash was spilled and claimed
as cries were heard...

"Look at this!"

"Here, you can have this!"

"Oh wow, I want that!"

"Hey, is there another one of those?"

Jump ropes, yo yos, bubbles,
and my favorite.....
funny glasses with noses and mustaches!

Next up was the egg hunt!

The hunters were kind enough to
let me take a few pictures before the
hunt began.....

What a great bunch of fun....
all wrapped up in smiles and hugs!

The egg hunt was a success and as far as I can tell all
the eggs were discovered and retrieved!

My husband and I always have so much fun
hosting this family gathering!

It's a joy to see everyone who is able to come!
We always hope that next year anyone who couldn't make it
will be able to come.

When it's time for everyone to head for home
there's lots of hugs and kisses!

It might be awhile before we see each other again.

When the party is over and all the chairs are empty
our sweet barn cat, Miss Olympia,
can finally claim a chair!

I hope your April is not flying by too quickly to enjoy!

Wishing you sunshine and a nice dose
of happiness.....

thanks so much for stopping by, Glitterinas!

Until next time,
Tammy
