......at least for another year!
Easter 2020 is in the books and was one to
remember.
Our Easter celebration looked different this year and
yours probably did, too, Glitterinas!
The message of Easter didn't change.
The tomb was still empty and Jesus still
triumphed over death.
He died for my sins and loves me more than
I can imagine.
Goodness, am I thankful for His love and grace.
We usually have a big family get together
at our home out here in the country.
We are blessed with lots of room for the
kids to hunt Easter eggs.....run around....play with
their cousins....laugh.....be silly....the list goes on and on!
We eat lots of good food (we always have lots of good food),
enjoy laughing with each other, and we have a nice, long visit!
We didn't get to be together this year.
We had a get together on Zoom!
It was entertaining just watching everyone get connected
with picture and volume.
Not everyone got to join in the visit but those of us
who were connected sure were glad to see each other.
I was quite proud of myself for not
crying.....I was very bummed that we couldn't
be together.
There are people in this ol' world that I love
and I needed to hug them!
I had a good, healthy cry later in the shower and
felt better.
OK.....I'm through whining about that....thanks for
listening, Glitterinas!
After Easter I packed all my decorations away.....
the way time flies, next Easter will be here soon!
Bunnies of all shapes and sizes went back into
their wrappers and boxes....
......bunnies on platters and eggs on baskets
were stored away.
Little burlap bunnies......
vintage metal eggs.....
handmade quilted boxes.....
all found their place in the tubs marked
Easter.
The basket of puzzles and games went back upstairs
to await their turn next year!
A few items are left out to help
welcome springtime....
But all the tablecloths and runners
that dress the house for Easter are
packed away.
Sweet husband's candy jar still has a
few pieces of candy in it.....there's one package of
pink Peeps left to be devoured....but other
than those few items...
Easter is packed up and I told them
"bye bye bunnies'!
We are staying at home....being safe.....
washing our hands a lot....
and watching just one news program per day.
I hope you are all well and staying occupied
during this crazy time.
Please join me in praying for all our leaders who are making difficult
and very important decisions for our country, states,
and cities.
My empty plate rack is calling out for something
pretty.....maybe something with lovely spring flowers.....
I think I have just the right dessert plates....
