Texas Mountain Laurel.....In Bloom!

Welcome to my back yard, Glitterinas!

When the mountain laurel in the back yard blooms
I have to take some pictures! Every spring!

The bees also enjoy this large shrub
with the lovely, lavender flowers.

These blooms don't last long, so like the
bees, I have to enjoy them while I can!

I enjoy trying to get a good picture of
those little, busy bees!

Not wanting a sting to go with my pictures,
I don't get tooooo close.

This is my favorite picture
this year.....

I think that bee just paused and let me take it's
picture!  Smile for your close up,
little one!

There are a few more plants that are
waiting to be planted....

....and some plants coming back from
last year.

They will all grow and bloom and
I'll enjoy them all....

but....

I think their loveliness just won't
quite measure up to the
Texas Mountain Laurel.

What do you have blooming in
your area, Glitterinas?

Share a picture, please.

I'd love to see what's blooming
around your place.

Thanks so much for taking time
to read this post of
Pink Glitter!

Until next time,
Tammy

Again With the Dining Table?

Yes, again with the changes on
the dining room table.

I don't generally change up my tablescapes
so frequently, but when opportunity knocks......

.....I answered the door and this attractive metal
piece was just begging to be styled!

Let's get busy, Glitterinas!

I have some ideas that just might work!

What do you think about a Mason jar in each section?

Then I can put interesting things in each jar....
maybe?!

Well, let's just try it and see.

Blue and purple Mason jars would look nice together.
I know I have some of those in my stash.

I have a few purple things to use.

So I'll start with a vintage, white table cloth....

....with the purple and green table cloth
folded in half and placed on top.

Now,

to the Mason jar stash.....

Let's load up the metal spinner, uh,

container,

organizer,

lazy susan,

divided tray.....

good grief, Glitterinas, I'm not even sure what
this thing is called!

I think I'll call it an organizer!

OK.....let's load the Mason jars into
the organizer.

OK so far!

Now I'll start filling up the jars with some
interesting items.

Some vintage silverware.....

......some dried filler flowers.....

.......some vintage fish knives and
a couple more forks!

Well, that fills up all six jars.....

but wait.....

I have an interesting piece of old lace.

Let's shuffle some of the silverware around......

......and place the lace into one of the jars.

I like it.....does that work, Glitterinas?

I don't have lots of purple things but this little
lavender sachet will tuck in and look nice here.

Hmmm, how about two small candlesticks
on one side....and a metal "W" on the other?

I think I can call that a finished tablescape,
don't you, Glitterinas?

I have another idea for this metal organizer.....

.....but more on that idea later!

Thank you so much for stopping by
Pink Glitter!

What's on your dining room table?

Leave me a note so I'll know you were here.
I love reading your comments!

Bye bye for now,
Tammy

Our Dining Room Table....Again, and Again

Hello Glitterinas!

Thank you so much for opening this post of
Pink Glitter!

I'm glad you stopped by.

Since Easter our dining room table has been
changed and changed again!

I put away seasonal decor as soon as the holiday
passes.

The day after Christmas.....down comes the tree!

The day after Easter.....say bye bye to all those bunnies!

The dining room table looked lovely for Easter
this year ( my opinion).  But it was very busy.

When the celebration was over I was ready
for simpler, and different pretties in the dining room!

I have some nice faux grapes that I decided to use.

So, I thought this purple and green tablecloth would
be a nice base.

This green tole tray went on first, then I stacked a fun
wrought iron basket with grapes on it.

Perfect, right?!
To be filled with grapes.....

Pile on the grapes.....the grands wanted these
to all be real!

Simple tablescape!

I like it.
What do you think, Glitterinas?

The grape tablescape lasted for a while.....

then my decorating assistant thought we needed
to shake things up a bit.

That's all the incentive I need to
play with table cloths and pretties!

She chose a vintage white cloth to use under
a pink, green, and white plaid one.

We then shopped the house for a flower arrangement
to use on a mirror in the middle of the table.

She found these yellow sweet peas in a vase
in the guest bedroom and decided they
would look nice!

Tall candlesticks with burlap bows finished off
this cutie's table design.

 She wasn't finished.....
we also have a small round table in the kitchen
that needed her attention.

Pinkish placemats with some hand picked
wild flowers and a scented candle were what
this round table needed.

She has a pretty good eye for a 9 year old.

I might be just a touch prejudiced, but I
like her work!

Well, guess what......

The yellow sweet peas got bumped back to the
guest bedroom when sweet husband brought home a
beautiful fresh arrangement.

He teaches floral design workshops and
I get to enjoy his lovely handiwork!

Aren't these so pretty?

I love the colors with this tablecloth.

When these lovelies pooped out and had to be disposed of.....

perfect timing.....

I received a fun new metal piece in the mail!

I think this new goodie will look great on
the dining room table!

Stay tuned for more dining table changes....

......I hope you stop by again, Glitterinas!

Until next time,
Tammy

It's Bluebonnet Time!

It's bluebonnet time....

it's bluebonnet time!

I look forward to these beautiful,
special, state flowers every year!

Here in Texas we have huge, sweeping,
road side displays of our much loved
bluebonnets.

We also celebrate the small patches
of these blue beauties that pop up!

Texas A&M University developed maroon
colored bluebonnets.

We have some of those, too.

My favorite color is pink....

so I'm always
"tickled pink"
when some of these lovelies bloom!

Here are some more shots.

Such loveliness.....

Wild flowers seem to bloom and fade so
quickly, so I guess I better enjoy
them while I can.

I'll have to wait until next year to see
these again!

I hope you have wild flowers to
enjoy.

Which ones are your favorite, Glitterinas?

Leave me a comment and let me know.
I enjoy reading each comment you leave.

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time,
Tammy

Last year I had a giveaway of
maroon bluebonnet seeds.

If you received some, and they are
blooming, I'd love to see or hear about them!

Thanks, Glitterinas!
