Welcome, Glitterinas!
With Halloween all packed away, it's time to
begin getting ready for
Thanksgiving!
What a wonderful time of year.....
a time when we gather with family and friends
eat a meal,
talk and laugh,
watch a parade and wave at Santa,
watch some football,
eat some dessert,
and think about all the things we have to be thankful for!
I enjoy creating a seasonal tablescape and
using my pretty Thanksgiving plates
to set the dining room table.
When all the leaves are in the dining room table
we can seat lots of friends and family.
I am using a
l-o-n-g
cream colored table cloth with
lots of pretty fall leaves on it.
Top this with a burlap runner.
Then I gathered up an assortment
of ribbon to make bows for.....
....my new lanterns!
Snip, snip, gather and tie.....
here's the tall lantern with it's bow!
I also added a colorful leaf.
Snip, snip, gather and tie, again.....
.....and here's the smaller lantern with it's
topper!
I like the way they look.
What do you think, Glitterinas?
Switch on the candles.....
....and add two small. sparkly pumpkins and a
bit of leaf confetti to finish off the table.....
.....and little votives with candles for
the grand darlings to blow out!
A few other touches around the house.....
a cornucopia plate in the little, red wire rack.
A banner reminding me to give thanks.....
.....and handsome Mr. Turkey reminding me to
"Share the Harvest".
Our large cabinet wears a
"Thankful" banner.....
......and a candle burns in the kitchen to
make the house smell like
delicious baked treats!
My list of things to be thankful for
grows longer and longer each year.
What's on your list, Glitterinas?
Have you started getting ready
for Thanksgiving.....does
your mouth water when you
think about this yearly feast....
What is your favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving?
Thank you so much for stopping by today
and taking time to read my thoughts here
at Pink Glitter!
Until next time,
Tammy
Thankful for:

I told you,
my list gets longer each year.......
