We've finally gotten a little chill
in the air, Glitterinas!
It feels like autumn outside and that
goes along well with all the autumn
I have decorating the inside!
Something else that goes well with the little nip in the
air and all the autumn colors
is
my favorite autumn poem
October's Party
by George Cooper.
I had such a vivid imagination as a child,
I had no trouble picturing all the pretty
leaves dancing and having a fancy party!
I would like to share both with you.....
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came.
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather lead the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses Maple
In scarlet looked their best;
All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.
Then, in the rustic hollow,
At hide-and-seek they played,
The party closed at sundown,
And everybody stayed.
Professor Wind played louder;
They flew along the ground;
And then the party ended
In jolly hands around.

Can't you just picture all the lovely leaves swirling around having
such fun at
October's Party?
I always enjoy decorating for autumn
and this year I had some help....
It's always enjoyable to have someone to
work with who thinks decorating is fun!
Turned out well, don't you think?
Thank you so much,
Glitterinas
for stopping in today.
I hope you are having lovely autumn days
and crisp evenings where you are.
Happy Autumn!
Until next time,
Tammy
