Hello, Glitterinas!
In this post of Pink Glitter I want to send best wishes to all the victims of Hurricane Florence in the states of North Carolina and South Carolina. Watching the news coverage, I’ve seen a can-do spirit of people who aren’t going to let water and wind get them down.
At this time at least 19 people have died and even more are missing or unaccounted for. Countless homes and businesses are without electricity. Entire towns and cities are cut off from the outside world due to flooded roadways. The water is still rising in some areas and dams and levees in coastal areas are in danger of failing.
I watch the brave and selfless men and women who are rescuing, feeding, helping, clothing and praying with families who are being rescued and it's amazing to witness the outpouring of help and support!
It’s not just people who are being rescued either, there are Samaritans out there who are saving four legged friends and getting them to safety, too.
It's happened before when Mother Nature has unleashed wild weather and horrific events on parts of our country.....selfless helpers come from all over to do what needs doing! People just stepping up to help strangers who are in need of help!

What a wonderful spirit of community and helpfulness amidst frightening destruction!
