Hello Glitterinas!
I am so glad you opened this post
at
Pink Glitter!
Two grand~darlings and I wanted to make something
yummy for dinner.
We started by listing some of our favorite ingredients
and checked the refrigerator and pantry
to see what we had.
The items that made the cut were these things:
cheese
corn
meat
tortillas
beans
sour cream
Check, check.....we found all our desired
ingredients!
We agreed that this list sounded like
some of the yummy food we eat at our
favorite tex-mex restaurant.
I suggested we try a
casserole.
Another suggested we call ourselves the
three amigos!
Sounds fun......let's get busy!
We started by browning
a pound of hamburger meat.
We added a can of drained black beans and
a can of drained corn.....stir, stir.
We also each threw a kiss into the skillet.
Can't have too much love in the food we cook!
Two of the amigos lined a casserole dish
with tortillas.....
and then sprinkled on a layer of grated cheese.
The meat mixture in the skillet
went over the cheese.
The kitchen was smelling very good!
All three amigo cooks thought this was going to be
one yummy dinner!
Smiles all around!
Lid on.....now it's headed into a
pre-heated oven.... 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
The girls picked out plates, napkins and glasses.
I'm so proud that they know how to set a simple table.
Who knows when they might need this?!
We decided to serve our
Three Amigos Mexican Casserole
with
homemade salsa, sour cream, guacamole,
and more cheese!
Anybody hungry?!
We were!
This was a very simple dinner to put together!
Give it a try if it sounds good to you!
Please leave me a note so I'll know you
stopped by.....I love to hear from you, Glitterinas!
Counting my blessings,
Tammy
