Organized For Christmas!

I like to be organized.

How about you, Glitterinas!

I am glad you stopped by
Pink Glitter.....I have something
interesting to share with you today!

With Christmas coming at full speed, now is the time
to make sure everything is getting taken care of.

I usually keep a little notebook
in my purse.

However, this year I have an
even better solution to help me
be organized for
Christmas!

Oooh, it's pretty, too!

When you see how lovely and easy it is to make
this planner, I know you'll want one.

Kerryanne shares cute things at
Shabby Art Boutique.

She is very talented.

She is generous, too, because this
2015 Christmas planner is a free download!

Let me show you how I put mine
together.....

.....here are the pages......

.....such pretty vintage Christmas graphics!

I decided to put my pages into a composition
notebook. I haven't used one of
these since 4th grade!

You could print out these attractive pages on card stock,
trim them up, and staple them together to make a
compact little planner, too.

After I gathered up my supplies......

.....and decided on which seasonal papers I wanted
to use.....

.....I got busy.

I snipped.

I glued.

I added bits and pieces.

There are pages for menus, grocery lists, gift lists,
Christmas cards and
e-mail addresses.....great organization!

Isn't this little miss pretty?

I added a ribbon book mark.....

......with a shiny, tiny ornament tied to the end!

I thought a clip could be useful, too.
I have already put it to use keeping all my receipts
together in one place!

I also added some tabs....menu, gifts....

I decided to personalize my planner.

Here's my finished planner!

Want one?!

Hop on over to KerryAnne's
Shabby Art Boutique and take a look around......

.....and thanks again for stopping by to check on what I'm
up to here at Pink Glitter!

I wish you a calm, relaxed, organized start to
this holiday season!

Hugs and glitter,
Tammy

It's Almost Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, Glitterinas.

My list of things to be thankful for
grows longer each year!

Thank you, Lord, for all the blessings
you pour out on me every day!

I hope you have safely arrived at your destination, if you are traveling.

I hope you have completed all your
grocery store runs, if you are hosting and cooking!

We are having Thanksgiving dinner here
at Five Gables Farm tomorrow evening.

My husband and I tell each other
often that Thanksgiving dinner is
our favorite meal of the year!

It's finally happening tomorrow.....

.....all the things I have to do are getting checked off
my master list.

The foods to prepare on today's list
were.....
the dressing and
the green bean casserole.

Check.....and check!

The desserts are all baked and
the other sides are all ready to go
tomorrow.  The turkey roasts are thawed
and just hanging out in the fridge.

When I finished all the work....it was time for
the fun!

I gathered up all the dishes I wanted to use to set the
table....

decided how to fold the napkins....

chose the candles....

and brought the name cards from
my craft desk.

Youngest daughter is home and was a good
assistant decorator for this table.

We stacked these plates on the
brown chargers.....

....isn't he a handsome guy?

Next, we added these leaf salad plates....

....and silver

....and napkins

....and crystal.

These pretty glasses were gifted to me by a
Bunco Friend!
They were her Mother's.

I know I'll enjoy using them again and again!

Thank you, again, Dana.....
you are a sweetie for thinking of me.

On top of each napkin we placed one of my
small, vintage molds and filled each one
with some pumpkin candies.

I think our youngest grand~darling will help anyone that needs
help eating their pumpkins.....he's very helpful that way!

We are not having a fish course, but I'm using some of
my bone dishes anyway.

They'll be serving as butter/bread plates for our
dinner tomorrow.

The grands have their own Thanksgiving
plates....

Before I know it, they'll be too old to eat on these
cute dishes any longer.

My burlap runner was crowding the two place settings
on the end of the table.....

.....so I tucked a little bit of the runner
underneath itself.....

....and everything fits so much neater!

I couldn't resist giving the candles a test light!

Pretty, huh?

Last but not least, the name cards....
well, they're really not cards....but
they do have our names on them.

I think they'll be a fun surprise
for everyone!

Have a lovely evening, Glitterinas!

Thanks so much taking time to open and read
this post on
Pink Glitter!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hugs and glitter,
Tammy

Happy Veteran's Day

I want to take a moment to say
Thank You
to
all the women and men
of our armed services.

This is a picture of my Dad when he was
in the Air Force in World War II.

He was a tail gunner and his plane was
shot down over France.

Dad was a German POW
for almost 2 years.

When anyone tried to thank Dad for
his service he'd simply say it
was his duty as an American
citizen.....then he'd promptly change the
subject!

Shake a vet's hand and thank them for their
service.....it can be today....

....tomorrow....

...or next month.

The cute, little guy in this family picture grew up to be
my Dad.....he was always handsome, wasn't he?

I wonder if he knew he'd grow up
to be a hero?

I am so glad you took a moment to
read this post!

Please join me in saying "Thank You"
on this Veteran's Day.

Until next time,
Tammy

Give Thanks!

My favorite holiday meal is just over the horizon,
Glitterinas!

Thanksgiving dinner

I love that this special holiday is rooted
right here in America!

I love all the planning and preparations that go
into this gathering of family and friends!

Deciding what we'll eat.....
everybody has their favorite food
that must be served while I like
to slip in new recipes, too.

Choosing how to set the table.....
I like to include are my brown transfer ware
plates with handsome Mr. Turkey right in the center.

Checking my cookbooks for recipes.....
some are ingrained from years of making them, but
any new ones must be completed with the
help of a recipe.

Making my grocery list....
I love grocery shopping!

Usually the first thing I check off my list for
Thanksgiving day is getting
the house all set.

I just have a few items that are uniquely
for Thanksgiving....each year it's good to see them!

I'll probably share our Thanksgiving feast
with you in a future post, Glitterinas.

But right now I'd like to show you what I've
done to get ready for Thanksgiving so far.....

Halloween jack-o-lanterns have been replaced
with a few extra pumpkins here by
the fireplace.

The Give Thanks banner really sums up, for me, what
Thanksgiving is all about!

Here's a closer look.....

I believe this pretty printable came from
Craftberry Bush.

I like it stacked with a mirror on the
mantle.

Here's a few more seasonal pretties scattered around.....

......all these items mix in nicely with my Fall
pretties that go up in September!

On the dinning room table I'm using a new,
seasonal bucket I found....

.....goes right along with the spirit of the season.

The lovely turkey on my Thanksgiving plates is
not the only handsome guy that helps
us celebrate this season.....

.....this tall guy always finds himself in a place of
prominence!

I have so much to be thankful for.....

.....my "thankful" list grows longer
and longer every year!

Each of you who find time in your busy
days to read the thoughts I share here at
Pink Glitter
are on my list!

Now, it's time for me to go and play with some
dishes.....what's going to look fabulous with this guy?

Hugs and glitter,
Tammy
