Snowman Pieces, Candy Cane Seeds, and Reindeer Poop?!

Yes, Glitterinas,
I fed all those things to my grand~darlings!

Now, before you call Child Protective Services on me,
let me tell you a bit more.....

Merry Mix is a fun candy choice bar I set up for
the grands on Christmas Eve.

Along with Grinch Snacks....

and Elf Treats....

.....the grands had fun filling their candy boats.

The round dining table in our kitchen was
just the perfect size and height for this project.

The Elf Treat bowl contained gummy treats.

The Reindeer Noses bowl contained malted milk
balls and large red hots (Rudolph's).

Candy cane seeds- soft peppermints

Reindeer Footprints- chocolate covered pretzels

Snowman Pieces- mini marshmallows

Reindeer Poop- chocolate covered raisins

Christmas Tree Seeds- salted almonds

Grinch Snacks- green M&Ms and green and
white peppermints

Santa Cookies- Royal Danish butter cookies

Now, do you feel better about me feeding my precious
grand~darlings Reindeer Poop?

Avery, the oldest grand, told me I could also call these
little pieces "droppings".....

I told her I just like saying
Reindeer Poop!

She laughed and said it was more fun to say!

Each bowl had a tiny, red cup to scoop
up the treats in that bowl....

The grands tried guessing what would go into each bowl....

.....it was hard to wait!

Once each bowl was filled we talked about all the
yummy goodies that awaited them.

They were so good to carefully use the little
cup scoops!

Filling those little, polka dot bowls was fun!

I'll let each one share their personal mix with you....

Avery, our artist....

Emery, our doll lover.....

Hmmm, Emery does not have any
Reindeer Poop
in her bowl.

She wasn't taking any chances!

On the other hand, Hudson our Lego Guy, has lots
of everything!

So how much of that candy do you think
you can eat, Hudson?

ALL of it, Gigi!

They ate a little bit and then we had dinner.

I was glad that they actually ate their dinner.

After dinner, they hit the table again, just
to top off their treats!

They had fun mixing their own candy treats
at the Merry Mix table.

They had one more treat to enjoy after we
opened our Christmas gifts.....

Gigi's elf showed up with some nice, decorated
cookies.....he even tried one!

Yum!

The Merry Mix printables I used for this fun
project can be found at the blog

Bethlehem

Welcome to our
Christmas home, Glitterinas!

A favorite decoration of our
youngest daughter is
our
Little Town of Bethlehem
musical, animated
Nativity.

The Wise Men and the shepherd follow
the path that goes by the manger
where they pause and
turn to see
Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Traditional Christmas carols play.....

.....each time we turn
on this Bethlehem scene.

My Mom and Dad bought this Nativity scene
for my sweet sister who
loved,
loved,
loved
Christmas!

Sissy passed her Nativity scene onto
our girls and we have enjoyed it!

The music from this Bethlehem scene
kinda starts out our Christmas season.....

I hope you are having a terrific
holiday season!

Hugs and holly,
Tammy

A Snowy Little Tree

It's chilly here as winter arrives
in Central Texas...... but no where
close to having real snow!

That doesn't mean I can't have a
little snow on some of my decorations.

I started with a lace table cloth draped
over a window frame and my
small, green trunk.

A small, snowy tree joined the
vignette.

I like it standing on books....it's
a bit more stable.

Snowflakes, petite mirror balls and some
jewels add just the right touch to
this little cutie!

I started wrapping gifts and arranging them
around this tree.

Our big tree has a choo choo train running
around it.....so I wanted to put the gifts
here by the fire place.

The addition of my short, red ladder
proved to be the perfect place for a
few more gifts.

The soft reindeer sitting on the top rung
was a gift many, many years ago from
Debbie,
a sweet lady I was lucky enough
to teach with.

I can hardly wait to take some
Christmas pictures here with the
grand~darlings.

I am checking many things off of
my To-Do List....happy day!

I hope you are getting things checked off of
your list, too!

Thanks again for letting me share some of my
Christmas with you......I hope you
find something that inspires you!

Until next time,
Tammy

The Stockings Were Hung by the Nutcrackers With Care!

I am so glad you stopped by
Pink Glitter
today, Glitterinas!

Thank you!  I know you are busy and
these days are just crazy.....

Today I am sharing my favorite
Christmas decorations.

Our Christmas stockings

We have a mantel over our fireplace
which is a great place for the
stockings.

I have a set of stocking hangers that are
silver snowflakes and they fit nicely here.

The issue I have every year is what to put
on the mantel WITH the stockings.

I have tried greenery......it looked OK.....

I have tried Christmas-y Mary Engelbreit boxes.......
they looked OK.....

I have tried ribbon all twisted with red beads......
it looked OK.....

You get the picture, Glitterinas, don't you?

Nothing looked so good that I loved it!

This year I am trying the collection of
nutcrackers my Mom spent several vacations
and shopping trips collecting.

The nutcrackers always had a special
place....as their numbers grew they moved from
a little table in the den to a larger table and finally
all the way across the piano!

As I unpacked them and arranged them
I felt giddy about how good
they looked on the mantel.

Why hadn't I thought of this before?!?

I stacked some books along the length of the
mantel to give some of the shorter, handsome guys
a little height....

So, what do you think, Glitterinas, do
these guys look good standing proudly on the mantel?

Next, came the snowflake stocking hangers and the
stockings.

Four on one end.....

.....and four on the other!

A space in the middle for something
I'll share next time.

Oh hooray.....I like it!

Not crowded....or too busy....

.....plenty of room for all these Christmas pretties!

Can you see the lace draped
over the window frame at the bottom
of the picture?

This is an idea I have for my little green trunk.

As the pumpkins rolled to be put away, I wanted
to continue to use my green trunk
for Christmas!

I'll share more next time, Glitterinas!

Until next time....

Tammy
