Come To the Halloween Party!

It's Halloween Party time!

Come on and join us, Glitterinas!

The mummies are ready to help decorate the
yard for the party!

We started decorating in the morning and worked
until we had everything ready.

These girls worked on the big spider web....
doesn't it look spooky?

We set up decorations.....

.....and games.....

......and a cute photo spot!

When our trick or treaters first arrived they picked up
a bag for all their goodies,
signed up for the cackling contest,
picked out a spider ring and a sticker.

These two smiling faces greeted all of
the party go-ers!

There were fun games for groups to play....

lots of room to run and play....

....with fun skeletons watching all the fun!

Our cute trick or treaters bobbed for apples....

.....pitched beanbags.....

.....and played lawn match games!

I enjoyed watching a ninja, Darth Vader and a large piece
of pepperoni pizza laughing and playing a game!

All of the guesses for the weight of a big ol' pumpkin
and how many candy corns were in the jar,
had lots of thought
put into each.

The winners got to take a trip to the
Prize Table!

Everyone who played got candy and little
fun treasures.

The photo spot turned out to be a fun background
for lots of characters who came to enjoy
the Halloween party!

A bat!

Wonder Woman, pizza, an alien, Darth Vader
and others.....

Rain Forest Girl, a rodeo clown, and more!

Sister Scarecrow and Brother Rodeo Clown!

Along with games
and candy
and streamers
and pumpkins.....

.....there were friends having a nice visit!

Halloween tic-tac-toe.....

......lots of smiling pumpkins....

......were all there along with

hot dogs, chips, and a quick stop at the dessert table!

The Five Gables Halloween Party was lots of fun!

Everyone left the party with fun memories
of games, friends and laughter
and
a party bag full of candy and little treasures.

Several of the cute, little party go-ers told me they
were already looking forward to next year's party!

I don't think I could ask for a better review than that,
do you, Glitterinas?

Nothing too spooky.....

.....just the right touch of Halloween enjoyment!

Our grand~darlings all had a favorite game or activity
from the party that they wanted to talk about.....

made me smile!

That made all the work worth it!

I'm so glad you got to stop by
Pink Glitter
today and join in some of the fun
at our Halloween party!

Thanks for sharing the fun.....

See you next time, Glitterinas!

Happy Halloween,
Tammy

Party Mummies

Welcome, Glitterinas!

I'm so glad you stopped by
Pink Glitter!

I made some mummies for our
Halloween party
and I thought you might want
to make some, too.

 Here are the simple steps
I used to make these
mummies.

My husband made the wooden bases
for me from leftover wood pieces.

A piece of thin wood is the base
with a piece of 2X4 standing up for
the top.

I used some thin, linen-type, white
material for the wrapping and
each mummy also got two wiggly eyes.

I cut long strips of the white material.....
jagged edges look best for wrapping the mummies.

To wrap each mummy, I started at the top,
with a strip of material that had a knot tied in the end.

Then I just wrapped and wrapped...

around and around....

.....when one strip of material runs out,
tie another strip to it, leaving the ends sticking
out about
an inch past the knot.

About two or three wraps from the top
I left a gap in the material
for the eyes.

When I finished wrapping the whole mummy
I glued two wiggly eyes on the space I left at the top.

Kinda cute, huh?

I just kept on wrapping until all the
mummy bases were covered with
strips of material and had two eyes.

These mummies will stand in a lively row
at our Halloween party
as part of the decorations.

Until the party, some will be standing by
the fireplace.....

.....and some will be standing in the
dining room.

If you drop by to visit,
please don't be too frightened by
the mummies that we have
standing around just
waiting for
Halloween!

If you are having a party
you might think about adding some
cute mummies to your decorations.

Leave me a comment and let me
know what you think of my
mummies!

Thanks, Glitterinas!
You are the best.

Until next time,
Tammy

A Basket Full of Sweets!

Hello, Glitterinas!

The grand~darlings and I love projects.

We also love sweets.

This project combines both of these things!

We're going to make Halloween candy skewers.

If you know someone, of any age, maybe yourself, who likes
candy and a bit of fun, this could be a project
you'd enjoy making and sharing.

Start with a basket full of sweets....

......items like gummy fingers and eyes,
ghost, pumpkin, Frankenstein, and kitty peeps,
peach rings,
orange mint lifesavers,
and
pumpkin spice marshmallows
were in the basket.

We also used the medium length wooden skewers.

The short would not hold enough goodies and
the long would take too much.....so, medium
hit the spot!

We laid all the sweet treats out on our work table,
took a paper plate to work on,
chose a skewer and began!

We decided to make our first skewer all together....

so we took turns choosing which item
would be used first, second, and so on.

Peeps make a good anchor item because they
are nice and sticky on the skewer.

The gummy eyes were good anchors, too.

Then the other items just feed on in a pleasing order.

The lifesaver mint rings make a cute hat for
the Peeps.

We just kept adding items until our skewers
were full.

The pumpkin spice marshmallows make a nice topper for
each skewer, too.

Here are some finished skewers.

Cute, huh?

The fingers and eyes are a bit creepy to me, but it
is Halloween!
The grands loved them!

My crafty grand~darlings loved posing
with their Halloween candy creations.

Then when they thought they just couldn't stand it any longer......

chomp!

The candy was all sooo good!

Since they just ate the candy off of one skewer, there
were no tummy aches!  And the fun lasted until the
next day!

Give these fun Halloween treats a try,
Glitterinas!

They'll put a smile on just about any face!

Thank you so much for taking some
time from your day to stop in here at
Pink Glitter!

I appreciate you opening and reading this post!

Hugs and sweets,
Tammy
